Curriculum
Most teachers feel that the curriculum is too literature based. Writing needs to be included in each map in a way that has meaning to the concepts that we are currently teaching. There have been several suggestions to remove The Strange Case of Jekyll and Hyde. Richland teachers feel that the curriculum moves too fast and does not go into enough depth.

Curriculum Matters
Grade 11-
The Great Gatsby is on the 6th Six Weeks, but it should be on the 5th for English III.
The roots need example words to go with them.
Poetry is eliminated from the 6th Six Weeks for English III but shouldn’t be.
Grade 10-
Switch Caesar to 2nd semester and put Mockingbird for the first or 2nd 6-weeks in the fall.
